Most people use Claude the way they use a search engine: type a question, copy the answer, then do the real work themselves. That habit is exactly why so many new Claude seats go unused. This course teaches the shift that changes your working week: treating Claude as a colleague you delegate work to, not a chatbot you interrogate.

It is built for non-technical professionals on Microsoft 365, and it is deliberately short. The shared core plus the one role track that matches your job takes under 80 minutes, and it ends with one real task you can hand to Claude the same day.

By the end of this course, you will know how to:

• Pick the right surface for the job: Chat for quick answers, Projects for persistent context, and Cowork for delegated multi-step work

• Write a request as an outcome you hand off, with the context and output format Claude needs to get it right the first time

• Use Projects and memory so Claude carries your context instead of you re-explaining it in every chat

• Connect Microsoft 365 and know exactly what Claude can read (Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) versus what it can write (editable Excel workbooks, native PowerPoint slides, tracked-changes Word documents)

• Run a full cross-app workflow in one Cowork session: analyze a spreadsheet in Excel, turn it into a PowerPoint deck, and draft the Outlook email that sends it

• Verify Claude's output with a simple three-step habit, recognize the tasks you should never delegate blind, and follow sensible data and connector hygiene

• Set up recurring scheduled tasks and dispatch work to Claude from your phone

How the course is built

Short concept lessons (2 to 3 minutes) explain the why, then screen demos (4 to 5 minutes) show every click on a real Microsoft 365 environment. Each section closes with a short quiz where every answer comes with a written explanation, so even the quizzes teach. One running example dataset carries through the whole course, so the demos build on each other instead of resetting.

After the shared core, take only the track that matches your job (about 10 minutes each):

• Marketing: turn a campaign brief into repurposed content, and run a competitive research roundup

• Sales: account research and meeting prep, plus follow-up emails drafted from a real thread

• Recruiting: job description drafting and screening summaries from a folder of CVs

• Finance: audit formulas in a live Excel model, then go from workbook to board-ready deck to Outlook-ready email in one pass

• Analyst / Operations: data cleanup, a repeatable report, and a scheduled Monday morning digest

Every track ends the same way: one concrete "do it today" task on your own work.

Who this course is for

Marketers, sellers, recruiters, finance teams, analysts, and operations. It also works as the end-user course in an L&D or enablement rollout path. It is not a developer course: there is no code, no terminal, and no API anywhere in it.

What you will need

A paid Claude plan (Cowork is not available on the free tier) and a Microsoft 365 work account if you want to follow the connector lessons hands-on. No AI experience is assumed.
